Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction in Los Angeles seeks a Project Manager to lead a project team, drive execution, and deliver projects Shawmut way while maintaining financial control.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction PM, proven staff leadership, and a client-focused, highly organized approach. You will coordinate with estimators, purchasing, and field teams to meet milestones, budgets, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management as a general contractor.
• Direct responsibility of leading and developing staff.
• Highly organized, client focused, and ability to connect with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a purchasing schedule and strategy to anticipate and resolve challenges in pre-construction.
• Collaborate with Estimating and Purchasing to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and optimal subcontractors.
• Lead project teams through pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction with focus on constructability and costs.
• Work with the Project Superintendent to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule.
• Complete financial data with attention to identify issues affecting profitability.
• Serve as liaison between customer, field, and office on all project facets.
• Maintain and develop relationships to reinforce world-class customer service with coworkers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and designers.
