Position Overview

To provide small group instruction to ensure that assigned English Language Learners (ELLs) benefit from an instructional program that will permit each student to attain his/her maximum potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• A valid Ohio Teaching Certificate and certification established by the State Board of Education. A valid TESOL endorsement is preferred.
• Knowledge of ELL instructional strategies, SIOP, and curriculum and materials for ELL students.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
• Good organizational skills.
• History of good job attendance.
• Computer skills with emphasis on database management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good public relations skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.
• Ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned.

Terms of Employment

Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances in the workplace.
