Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking an ESL Teaching Assistant at Great Hearts Western Hills Upper School in San Antonio, TX. Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in special education is required.
• Educational Aide certification I, II, or III preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; interest in reading great books.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments, homework and projects.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications to aid learning.
• Help students transition between activities and follow classroom rules.
• Provide clerical support for the ESS Team.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Assist with personal hygiene needs and mobility when needed.
