Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking an ESL Teacher Leave Replacement at Jackson Avenue School to provide pull-out ESL instruction for multilingual students in grades K–4 from 9/1/2026 to 11/30/2026.

Required NJ ESL certification; experience teaching ESL preferred; bilingual/bicultural endorsement highly desired. The teacher will align lessons with NJ learning standards and WIDA, differentiate instruction, assess progress, and collaborate with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• New Jersey ESL certification is required.
• Experience teaching ESL is preferred.
• Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Implement standards-based instruction aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards and WIDA English Language Development Standards.
• Design and deliver lessons that integrate language and content objectives while promoting growth in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Apply research-based second language acquisition practices, including comprehensible input, structured interaction, and opportunities for meaningful language output.
• Differentiate instruction, scaffolds, and assessments to meet multilingual learners’ needs at varying levels of English proficiency.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor progress, adjust instruction, and communicate growth.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment that promotes engagement, belonging, and academic success.
• Maintain an organized classroom environment that supports language development.
• Collaborate with families, colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance learning and well-being.
• Fulfill instructional and non-instructional responsibilities in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice to strengthen instructional effectiveness.
