Job summary

FALL MOUNTAIN REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT in New Hampshire is seeking an English as a Second Language Paraprofessional to support students in the regular education classroom. The successful candidate will assist the teacher with instructional activities, manage small groups, and help ensure a safe, productive learning environment.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, supervising students, observing behavior, and coordinating with the ESL Consultant.

Qualifications

Valid New Hampshire Para II certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional assistance to individuals in regular education classrooms.
Ensure safety and well-being of students assigned for supervision.
Observe and respond to inappropriate student behaviors.
Set up work areas, displays, and classroom materials as directed.
Work under teacher direction and help teach subjects as appropriate.
Follow teacher directions to meet academic, social, emotional and behavioral needs.
Consult with teachers and ESL consultant on program and material needs.
Prepare instructional materials as directed.
Provide clerical and supervisory duties as assigned by the principal.
Assist students with personal needs as determined by the teacher.
Paraprofessionals support small groups and may assist with related duties.
