Responsibilities

• Teach part-time ESL courses as assigned.
• Deliver instruction using varied delivery systems (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
• Communicate effectively with students and colleagues and maintain course records.
• Develop syllabi, adhere to curricular outlines, and evaluate student progress.
• Carry out all duties as assigned by the department.

Education

Master’s in TESL/TESOL/applied linguistics with a TESL emphasis, linguistics with a TESL emphasis, English with a TESL emphasis or education with a TESL emphasis

Bachelor’s in TESL/TESOL/English with a TESL certificate, linguistics with a TESL certificate, applied linguistics with a TESL certificate, or any foreign language with a TESL certificate and Master’s in linguistics/applied linguistics/English/reading

California Community College Credential (valid)

Equivalent education and/or experience (equivalency)
