Heartland Middle School is seeking an ESL Aide to support emergent bilingual students with linguistic and instructional assistance under the ESL Lead Teacher and classroom staff.
The role includes coordinating LPAC documentation, monitoring student progress, and providing small-group instruction. Strong communication and reading instruction skills are valued; Spanish is a plus.
The ESL Aide supports the campus ESL program by providing linguistic and instructional support to Emergent Bilingual (EB) students while assisting and documentation requirements of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC). This position works closely with the ESL Lead Teacher, campus administration, teachers, families, and district Bilingual/ESL Department to ensure student records are complete, accurate, confidential, and processed in a timely manner. This instructional aide is responsible for supporting student achievement. They provide individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
Formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two (2) years of study at an institution of higher learning Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Ability to assist in instructing reading
Ability to communicate effectively
Spanish Speaking (preferred)
