Job Summary

Compensation: Hourly $35.00. Position: Part‑time ESL Educator (20 hours).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement learning activities that support course objectives and are appropriate to student needs.
• Provide engaging, ongoing opportunities for students to experience success through academic activities.
• Develop and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Answer student questions and provide assistance with assignments and classroom activities.
• Employ appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving course objectives.
• Communicate progress in the course to students in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other ESL educators and leadership to ensure consistency and quality of education.
• Assist in maintaining course materials and facilities as appropriate.
• Keep accurate and up‑to‑date records of attendance and scores in accordance with established policies.
• Handle student concerns with respect, follow guidelines, and escalates issues to the LI Supervisor or Director.
• Identify students with academic or other needs and respond by utilizing appropriate resources.
• Foster a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and community members.

Minimum Qualifications

• State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work sites.
