Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an ESL Aide Level II (Students) to support English language learners in elementary classrooms. This non-contract, on-site role involves assisting teachers, administering proficiency assessments, and preparing individualized lessons on a scheduled basis.

The position runs 5 hours per day (not to exceed 29 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $18.83. Suitable candidates will help create a positive learning environment and support student growth in language

Qualifications

• Assists ESL students under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Administers proficiency assessments under guidance.
• Supports lesson delivery and materials preparation.
• Maintains student files and communicates with teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Administers English proficiency assessments to identify and measure progress.
• Assists teachers in maintaining student files and communicating needs.
• Assists students individually or in groups with lesson assignments.
• Implements instructional programs under teacher supervision.
• Monitors students in various settings to provide a safe learning environment.
• Supports new students and families with orientation.
• Performs other related duties to ensure smooth operations.
