Job summary

The International Potato Center (CIP) seeks an experienced ESG/ESMS consultant to diagnose current maturity, identify gaps against ISO 14001 and GCF safeguards, and develop a practical, proportionate governance framework for a decentralized international organization.

Phase 1 delivers an inception, current-state and maturity assessment, integrated gap analysis, and a draft CIP ESG/Environmental & Social Management Policy, with a management briefing to guide subsequent work.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English; strong facilitation and senior-management communication.
• Experience translating ISO 14001/ESG standards into practical requirements.
• Ability to design policy, governance structures, and risk mitigations for decentralized organizations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose CIP's current ESG/ESMS maturity against ISO 14001 and GCF safeguards.
• Produce integrated gap analysis across ISO, ESG, GCF and donor expectations.
• Draft CIP ESG/Environmental & Social Management Policy.
• Provide management briefing with recommendations on Phase 2/3 scope and sequencing.
