Job Description
  • 1. *Help students become proficient in challenging standards and meet all state and local requirements for achievement. (FS 1012.53)

  • 17. Maintain knowledge of each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and Educational Plan (EP) as appropriate and ensure such legal documents are implemented with fidelity as determined by the IEP or EP committee.
  • 18. Collect and report progress monitoring data of students with IEPs and BIPs and have data available for each IEP meeting
  • 19. Develop IEP goals and objectives for students staffed into the ESE program.
  • 20. Report Present Levels of Performance on schedule required by district and dictated by state and federal requirements
  • 21. Attend eligibility and placement staffings.
  • 22. Provide training and support to general education teachers regarding implementation of IEPs and accommodations.
  • 23. Maintain and ensure accuracy of educational records of students with disabilities, including logs of supports/services and progress monitoring data.
  • 24. Maintain confidentiality in personally identifiable information obtained in the course of professional service, unless disclosure serves professional purpose or is required by law.
  • 25. Follow expectations and directives as communicated by the district’s Exceptional Student Education Department which are not in conflict with law, policy or the contract.
