Job summary

Polk County Public Schools Frostproof Middle-Senior is seeking a dedicated Paraeducator to support ESE students under supervision of teachers, assist with clerical tasks, behavior management, and classroom routines throughout the school day.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 60 college credits or an associate degree, and a willingness to work with diverse learners; bilingual abilities are preferred, and the position is full-time.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or completion of GED.
• 60 or more college credit hours or an Associate's degree or higher.
• Passing score on the Para Pro exam required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clerical duties, grading papers, collecting forms and updating folders.
• Supervise students during meals, field trips, and programs; reinforce instruction.
• Coordinate with teachers and staff to support instructional activities.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with testing and attendance.
• Support with behavior management and student supervision throughout the day.
