Job summary

Polk County Public Schools is seeking a Para - ESE Basic aide to support Exceptional Student Education students and instructional staff. Duties include clerical tasks, supervising students, behavior management, and assisting with testing and materials.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 60+ college credits or an associate degree, or passing the Para Pro exam. Bilingual ability is a plus. Work includes classroom support and coordination with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 60+ college credits or an associate degree or higher or ParaPro exam.
• Bilingual/biliterate preferred.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions; communicate clearly; keep simple records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clerical duties and supervise students throughout the day.
• Reinforce instruction and support classroom activities.
• Coordinate with teachers on behavior management and testing activities.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with field trips and programs.
