Job summary

Pasco County Schools in Wesley Chapel, FL seeks an Instructional Assistant IA to support Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and DJJ programs at Thomas E Weightman Middle School. You will assist teachers, help create a well-run learning environment, and ensure students access instruction and resources under supervision of a Highly Qualified Teacher.

Requires an associate degree or 60 college hours or ParaPro score; CPR/First Aid training and CPI familiarity preferred; 189 days per year,

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education, or related field
• 60 semester hours of college/university level coursework from an accredited institution
• Obtain qualifying score to pass the ParaPro Assessment. A condition of employment may be considered for qualified applicants.
• All employees must satisfactorily complete any required trainings
• All employees must meet all mandated federal and state health requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) in providing a well‑organized, smoothly functioning educational environment
• Support ESE and DJJ programs under the direct supervision of a Highly Qualified Teacher
