Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Certification in ESE K-12, School Counseling, or School Psychology preferred with plan to obtain within 12 months.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience with emotional disturbance or behavior disorders, or experience with behavior intervention preferred.
• Willing to participate in training and become a trainer for staff in district-approved behavior intervention programs.
• Knowledge of ESE laws, crisis intervention, behavior management, and confidentiality.
• Ability to provide consultation to teachers and other school staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of MTSS for intervention and assessment planning.
• Assist in development and implementation of IEPs for identified students.
• Lead in school-based crisis intervention teams and train staff.
• Collaborate with parents to explain and train on behavior intervention plans.
• Lead Behavior Assessment/Intervention Team and conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Communicate with administration about needs of students, staff, and parents.
• Provide staff trainings on data collection and behavior management techniques.
• Support school-wide behavior programs and fidelity reviews.
