• Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations relating to student privacy and records.
• Ability to use multiple project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively under stress of deadlines, volume of workload, and multitasking requirements.
• Ability to organize self, prioritize tasks, and maintain energy in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in establishing department objectives and development of the plan for implementation and evaluation.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.

• Employ instructional methods and materials appropriate for meeting objectives.
• Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports.
• Diagnose learning strengths and weaknesses and involve district specialists when needed.

• Assist administration in implementing policies and maintain classroom order and fair rules.
• Plan and supervise assignments for support staff and volunteers.

• Recognize indicators of student distress or abuse and act per procedures.
