Job summary

Gulf Coast Academy at Brookside is seeking an ESE Aide to support students with special needs. Location is Gulf Coast Academy at Brookside, with a 7.5-hour day and a 10-month contract cycle.

Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting with academic and behavioral interventions, and performing clerical tasks. Training in CPI and ASD-related topics may be required during probation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• May be required to complete 40 hours of ASD-related training by end of probation.
• Must complete verbal and physical CPI training within probation.
• Passing score on Para Pro Assessment or AA/AS degree or 60-hour equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising students and school-wide tasks.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions as required.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks as needed.
• Perform clerical duties and data collection as assigned.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and assist in instructional materials.
