ESD Floor Care Technician - FT Evening Shift (3-1130pm)

Responsibilities:

• Performing hard floor care: dust mops, damp mops, stripping, waxing, and refinishing floors; spray buffing
• Cleaning carpets and furniture: vacuuming, spot removal, shampoos
• Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas including stairwells and elevators
• Operating electric and battery-powered cleaning equipment and rearranging furniture/equipment
• Picking up supplies and packing regulated medical waste
• Wearing protective clothing as required (e.g., surgery dress code, medical waste packing, isolation precautions)
• Responding to floods and emergencies, drying and cleaning facilities and equipment
• Using equipment to respond to emergencies in accordance with hospital protocols

Schedule: 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and holiday off.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of experience as a floor care technician or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
• Ability to operate powered machinery safely and effectively
• Ability to respond to written or verbal instructions appropriately
• Courtesy and professionalism when working with patients and visitors
• Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
