What We Do

We handle real estate transactions by establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, processing documents for closings, and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. We act as neutral liaisons between parties, adhere to company policies, and monitor and mitigate risks. This role supports our St. Louis market.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  1. Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements, clearing titles, preparing and reviewing closing documents, and disbursing funds.
  2. Determine closing requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions.
  3. Order title reports for issuing title insurance, resolving title defects, and satisfying liens and encumbrances.
  4. Establish escrow accounts by depositing funds and maintaining records.
  5. Prepare transaction documents by completing forms, collecting, and reviewing documents.
  6. Perform calculations such as prorating taxes and interest.
  7. Complete closing documents by assembling, reviewing, explaining provisions, answering questions, and obtaining signatures.
  8. Finalize closings by recording and filing documents, and preparing final statements and titles.
  9. Balance and disburse funds to close escrow accounts.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  11. Enhance job knowledge through education, reading, networking, and professional involvement.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Experience handling escrow transactions preferred
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by state

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of escrow/title industry concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong client relations and organizational skills
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Effective communication skills for groups and individuals
  • Ability to perform calculations involving financial figures
  • Detail-oriented and professional, capable of handling confidential information
  • Ability to interact with various roles in real estate transactions
