Job summary

Alliance Title & Escrow is seeking an Escrow Officer to facilitate real estate transactions as a neutral third party, ensuring contractual obligations are met and funds are disbursed correctly.

The role requires careful management of escrow accounts, collaboration with buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents, and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documents to guarantee compliance with legal and financial standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in escrow processing, real estate transactions, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of real estate principles, escrow procedures, and relevant state and federal regulations.
• Proficiency in escrow software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the escrow process from opening to closing, ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are met.
• Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to gather and verify necessary documentation.
• Review and prepare escrow instructions, title documents, and closing statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and manage escrow accounts, including the receipt and disbursement of funds in accordance with escrow agreements.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the transaction, including title problems, liens, or financing contingencies.
• Maintain detailed records of all escrow transactions and communications for auditing and regulatory purposes.
• Stay current with real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
