Job summary

CRC Group is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer in Indianapolis to join our title services team. You will coordinate with realtors, lenders, and buyers to ensure smooth pre- and post-closing procedures while complying with applicable laws and requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of escrow experience, an Escrow Officer license, and a solid understanding of title insurance. Strong communication, confidentiality, and time-management skills are essential for success in a fast-paced

• Knowledge of title insurance and regulatory guidelines is a plus

Responsibilities

• Interact with realtors, loan officers, underwriters and buyers/sellers to facilitate pre and post-closing procedures
• Comply with all state and federal laws governing escrow transactions and accounts
• Monitor progress to meet contract terms and conditions
• Review closing instructions and determine conditions for closing and funding
• Prepare, review, and verify escrow agreements and closing documents for accuracy
• Assemble and send loan and closing documents to all parties and ensure proper recording of documents

Responsibilities:

• Interact and coordinate with industry contacts such as realtors, loan officers, underwriters, brokers, buyers, and sellers and other involved parties to facilitate proper pre and post-closing procedures.
• Comply with all state and federal laws governing escrow transactions and escrow accounts
• Monitor progress in compliance with all terms and conditions of purchase contracts
• Review closing instructions to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing and funding.
• Work closely with clients to accomplish a closed transaction in a timely, efficient and error‑free manner.
• Order updates from the underwriter and determine clearance to close.
• Calculate and prorate taxes, interest, and insurance for settlement statements
• Ensure taxes, insurance, and loan payoffs are properly accounted for
• Assemble and deliver closing statements to buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, and lenders
• Accurately disburse funds and ensure recording of necessary documents in a timely manner.
• Hold funds, property, or documents in trust until all contractual obligations are satisfied
• Prepare, review, and verify escrow agreements, and closing documents for accuracy
• Assemble and send completed loan and closing documents and packages to all applicable parties

Requirements:

• 5+ years of escrow experience
• Knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents, and real property law a plus
• Must be licensed as an Escrow Officer.
• Knowledge of SoftPro Select a plus
• Great time management skills
• Outstanding work ethic with the ability to work in both team oriented and self-directed environments.
• Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
• High level of accountability

• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
