Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Escrow Assistant to support the Financial Services Escrow Branch in Texas. Responsibilities include preparing opening letters, ordering title commitments, and coordinating payoff statements to support timely closings.

You will assist the branch manager with administrative tasks, handle loan packages for lender return, and provide basic customer service to lenders and buyers. An Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send opening letters and thank-you acknowledgments to all parties.
• Order title commitments and distribute to all parties.
• Order and update payoff/assumption statements as requested.
• Prepare receipts for all funds received from customers and/or lenders.
• Order wire transfers and provide wiring instruction.
• Assist branch manager with administrative tasks as requested.
• Receive builder report, order survey, contact the lender, obtain hazard insurance, and schedule closings.
• Prepare closing packages and ensure documents are signed.
