Position Overview

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a mid-level Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) and Stormwater Management (SWM) Plan Reviewer/Engineering Technician to join our Richmond, Virginia team. The successful candidate will conduct ESC and SWM plan review, develop construction plans, perform design calculations, and assist the Engineering Team Lead with a variety of site/civil land development engineering projects in the Higher Education and Energy sectors. Team is based in our Richmond office, but this position has potential to be fully remote if desired.

Job Duties
  • Conduct ESC and SWM Plan Review
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs
  • Assist with Environmental Permitting
  • Coordinate with Counties and local municipalities
  • Provide technical expertise in site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management
  • Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and WSSI standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project objectives (scope, schedule, deliverables) are met in accordance with established metrics
Requirements
  • Virginia DEQ ESC & SWM Plan Reviewer Certifications
  • Minimum of 2-3 years Site Plan Review Experience
  • Proven experience with Virginia codes, regulations and interpreting plans
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
