Job summary

JT4 China Lake is seeking an Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) Specialist for Level I–III at China Lake, CA. You will support ES&H programs, perform audits, and report on compliance with Navy regulations and OSHA standards.

An ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in an ES&H-related field with 3+ years of related experience; higher levels require more experience or a graduate certificate. An active Secret clearance is preferred, and telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an ES&H-related field and 3+ years of related experience.
• Level II requires 6+ years of related experience or equivalent training.
• Level III requires a graduate certificate and 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of ES&H programs and procedures.
• Perform site audits and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain knowledge of requirements from government agencies, AF/other customers.
• Identify and evaluate hazards; enforce ES&H guidelines and practices.
• Provide guidance to less experienced personnel; perform other duties as required.
