Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to analyze business problems and translate them into effective system solutions. You will gather requirements, document processes, and collaborate with stakeholders, QA, and development to deliver end-to-end ERP enhancements.

The role requires 4+ years in business systems analysis, strong SQL skills, and experience with ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft. You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating testing and documentation across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in business systems analysis or related area.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise applications and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Advanced SQL skills and ability to build complex queries and reports.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with system integrations and data flows across applications.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
• Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience creating detailed documentation, process flows, and test plans.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated customer service mindset and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business problems and identify system-based solutions aligned with goals.
• Gather, document, and validate requirements with stakeholders.
• Evaluate options and recommend optimal approaches.
• Ensure processes supported by system capabilities.
• Develop functional and system requirements for enhancements and integrations.
• Assess impacts of changes for end-to-end solution integrity.
• Create process flows, documentation, and design artifacts.
• Design and execute integration and user acceptance testing.
• Develop test plans and validate system behavior against requirements.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure quality releases.
• Provide day-to-day support for ERP production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Create complex ad hoc reports and queries.
• Lead or support system enhancements and process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and QA to deliver solutions.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts on requirements, testing, issue resolution.
• Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives.
