Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Operations Training Manager to design, develop, and deliver training for ERP systems across Operations. You will tailor instructional content for role-specific end users, delivering in-person or virtual sessions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet standards and improve processes.

The role requires CMiC ERP experience, strong presentation skills, and the ability to travel to company offices and jobsites as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of EPC construction experience in PROJECT/FIELD ENGINEER, PROJECT MANAGER, SUPERINTENDENT or related roles.
• Strong ERP management software proficiency.
• Hands-on CMiC experience preferred.
• Proficiency with virtual training tools (Zoom, Teams).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; strong people skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills for large in-person events.

Job Description Summary:

The perations Training Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging training programs on SOLV Energy’s ERP systems, tailored to role-specific Operations end users. This role ensures that training—whether in-person or virtual—meets defined objectives by leveraging a deep technical understanding of the various systems and their application across enterprise-wide and business unit specific processes. The trainer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align training content with established standards and best practices. Additionally, this position serves as a feedback conduit, identifying gaps in standards and communicating opportunities for improvement discovered during training delivery. The ERP Operations Trainer reports directly to the Director of Project Standards.

This role can be fully remote or hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA, Edison, NJ or Bend, OR. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Utilizes professional knowledge and strong internal partnerships to support role and department objectives.
• Design and deliver interactive and engaging training sessions for Operations end users.
• Utilize various formats (e.g., workshops, webinars, e-learning modules) to deliver training content.
• Create and maintain training materials, including guides, presentations, and reference documents.
• Tailor content to specific roles and workflows to maximize relevance and effectiveness.
• Develops and updates a schedule for the development and implementation of assigned training program.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Digital Solutions, Business Unit Operations Managers, Project Controls, Operations PMO, to ensure training content reflects current company standards and addresses operational needs.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to validate accuracy and completeness of training materials.
• Gather feedback from trainees and stakeholders to assess training effectiveness.
• Recommend enhancements to improve system utilization and user experience.
• Maintain a repository of training resources for easy access by end users.
• Provide ongoing support for Operations specific ERP-related questions and troubleshooting as needed.
• Travel to company offices and jobsites to provide in-person training.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• 7+ years of commercial or utility scale EPC construction experience as either a Project/Field Engineer, Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Controller or combination thereof.
• Strong technical proficiencies with project management principles including change management, contracting, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and ERP management software.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP is required. CMiC experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in virtual training tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
• Effective organizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills.
• Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and work well with diverse teams.
• Strong presentation skills and experience, able to facilitate, engage and command in-person events of no less than 20 people.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel as needed to successfully fulfill responsibilities and duties
