Job summary

LeClaire Manufacturing Co is seeking a Manufacturing ERP & Engineering Specialist to connect engineering, production, sales, purchasing, and accounting through a robust ERP system in Bettendorf, IA. The role focuses on accurate job costs, WIP, and inventory while delivering hands-on ownership on the shop floor.

You will build and maintain engineering data, troubleshoot ERP processes from quote to cash, and develop reports and dashboards to enhance visibility across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing ERP system.
• Background in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Solid grasp of Quote-to-Cash workflows and how BOMs, routings, and revisions come together.
• Comfort with job costing, WIP, inventory transactions, and manufacturing variances.
• A sharp analytical eye and ability to identify root causes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Keep ERP system processes—quoting, order entry, scheduling, purchasing, shipping, and invoicing—running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot issues and partner across Sales, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and Accounting to fix them.
• Build reports, queries, and dashboards for better visibility.
• Support ERP upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement projects.
• Create and maintain part numbers, revisions, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing methods.
• Develop manufacturing processes and operation sequences; help estimate labor, material, and subcontract needs.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes; validate setup and costing before release to production.
• Analyze job costs, WIP, and variances; ensure period-end accuracy.
• Compare estimated vs. actual labor, material, and burden costs; investigate discrepancies.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve inventory exceptions.
• Identify trends to improve cost accuracy and inventory data integrity.
