Job summary

General Metals is seeking a Data Entry and Cycle Counter to maintain accurate production and inventory data. You will enter production jobs in the ERP system, release packets to the floor with documentation, and perform cycle counts across hardware, raw materials, and finished goods.

The role requires attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP/MRP systems. You will collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Shipping to support efficient operations and data

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with ERP/MRP software preferred.
• Experience with paperless inventory systems and barcode scanning is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy essential.

Responsibilities

• Enter production jobs into ERP system accurately and timely.
• Print and prepare complete job packets for release to manufacturing floor.
• Verify documentation before releasing each job packet.
• Maintain accurate production records in ERP; archive documents electronically.
• Perform cycle counts for hardware, raw materials, and finished goods using ERP-integrated tools.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and process adjustments per procedures.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Shipping, and Warehouse to resolve variances.
