Job Description
The ERP Business Systems Analyst – Epicor Kinetic is a hands‑on business systems role responsible for
optimizing Epicor Kinetic across manufacturing operations. This position serves as the internal Epicor subject matter expert, partnering with Operations, Planning, Warehouse, and Finance to standardize workflows, improve data integrity, and increase effective use of the ERP platform. The role will configure system functionality, reduce reliance on spreadsheets and manual workarounds, and build reporting that supports reliable operational decision‑making. As the organization continues to scale and digitize, this position is intended to take on broader IT leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit current Epicor Kinetic modules and identify opportunities to improve system utilization and business processes.
- Recommend and implement manufacturing best practices across Production, Job Management, Inventory, DMR, Quality, and Scheduling.
- Replace spreadsheets and manual workarounds with standardized, configured Epicor workflows where appropriate.
- Partner with Operations, Planning, Warehouse, and Finance to standardize processes within the ERP system.
- Lead data cleanup and migration using the Epicor Data Management Tool (DMT), including Parts, BOMs, Jobs, Customers, and Inventory.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards to reduce duplicate parts, incorrect units of measure, orphan jobs, and other data quality issues.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Epicor Kinetic to support operational and leadership
decision‑making.
- Configure Epicor modules, Business Process Management directives (BPMs), Business Activity Queries (BAQs), and dashboards to support manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with Epicor support and external consultants as needed while maintaining internal ownership
of the system.
- Document system processes, procedures, and configurations, and train end users on standardized
workflows.
- Partner with Operations leadership on efficiency, capacity, and throughput initiatives supported by ERP capabilities.
- Develop an IT roadmap that supports the plant’s ongoing growth, process improvement, and digital transformation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
professional experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and 3+ years of hands‑on
experience with Epicor Kinetic or Epicor 10.
- Skills: Hands‑on experience with Epicor DMT for imports, exports, migration, and data cleanup;
experience configuring Epicor modules, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, and reporting; and a strong
understanding of job costing, scheduling, inventory, BOMs, routings, and shipping/receiving.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate operational challenges into
practical system solutions.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP processes and data governance principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts to
business users.
- Ability to document processes clearly and train end users on system workflows.
- Experience with warehouse, shipping, and planning modules is preferred.
- Experience in discrete manufacturing, particularly plastics, packaging, or a similar environment, is
preferred.
- SQL and basic reporting skills are preferred.
- Experience helping an organization transition from spreadsheet‑based processes to fuller ERP utilization is preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform work at a computer and remain seated for extended periods as needed to perform the essential functions of the role.
- Ability to move throughout a manufacturing facility as needed to observe workflows, support users, and understand operational processes.
