Job summary

ITW Automotive is seeking an ERP Analyst to serve as the on-site resource during our SAP S/4HANA journey. You will support day-to-day SAP operations, drive enhancements, and collaborate with regional SAP teams to improve core business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, and finance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with ERP systems, and a willingness to engage in change management and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, MIS, or business administration with 4 years of related work experience.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a strong plus.
• Experience in manufacturing settings and ERP systems.
• SAP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the SAP S/4HANA ERP system.
• Own incident resolution (1st level) and coordinate with SAP support for complex issues.
• Manage system enhancements, configurations, and process improvements in SAP S/4HANA and related systems.
• Collaborate with production, inventory, planning, logistics, and finance to align SAP usage with business operations.
• Act as liaison between business functions and SAP support to ensure system functionality meets needs.
• Coordinate setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EDI and customer-specific labels.
• Document business processes, configurations, and SOPs; assist with change management.
• Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities (master data, reporting, etc.).
• Partner with regional experts and consultants to ensure best practices and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in reviews of SAP functionality and assess new modules/add-ons.

Job Description

The ERP Analyst will serve as the primary internal resource for our business as we embark on our SAP S4/HANA journey. The ERP Analyst will work closely with our regional SAP team and serve as the on-site “go-to” for day-to-day SAP support, enhancements, and continuous improvement of business processes enabled by SAP. The ERP Analyst’s role is to maintain and improve efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefits of IT system investments.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the SAP S/4HANA ERP system
• Ownership of incident resolution (1st level), root‑cause analysis, and coordination with SAP support and the regional SAP experts for more complex issues
• Manage and execute system enhancements, configurations, and process improvements in SAP S/4HANA and related systems
• Work closely with production/manufacturing, inventory, planning, logistics, and finance teams to align SAP system usage with business operations
• Serve as the liaison between business functions (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, sales/distribution) and the SAP support team to ensure that system functionality aligns with business needs
• Coordinate setup, maintenance, and troubleshoot issues related to EDI and customer‑specific label requirements
• Document business processes, system flows, and configurations; assist with change‑management (user training, process documentation, SOPs)
• Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for optimization (e.g., master‑data cleanup, process redesign, reporting enhancements)
• Partner with regional experts and third‑party consultants to ensure best practices, compliance with standards, and knowledge transfer to the business
• Participate in periodic reviews of system functionality, evaluate new SAP modules/add‑ons, and recommend improvements
• Maintain system access and ensure proper separation of duties exists

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration, and 4 years of related work experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience in systems analysis or business systems support in a manufacturing setting is required, Automotive industry preferred
• Experience working with ERP systems; direct exposure to SAP (especially S/4HANA) is a strong plus
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations (e.g., production, inventory, supply chain, procurement, quality) and how they integrate with ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate between business users and technical teams
• Strong documentation skills (process flows, functional specs, testing scripts).
• Comfortable working independently (given you’ll be the only ERP Analyst on site) but also capable of collaborating with remote/regional SAP experts
• Willingness to engage in change management, user training, and continuous process improvement
• Experience supporting automotive EDI preferred
• SAP certification (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Associate) or equivalent preferred
