Job Description Summary
The Erlanger Inventory specialist position is responsible for inventory control aspects in the Erlanger Distribution Center. This includes tasks associated with receiving, put away, proper material storage, RSP audits and inventory reporting. The Inventory Specialist also manages Oracle WMS enhancement and issue resolutions. The Inventory Specialist also assist with projects and activities associated with the Supply Chain Connected Flow initiative and inventory improvements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for aspects of inventory accuracy, adjustments, and transactional error corrections. Works directly with Material Handler Inventory team on day-to-day tasks.

• Identifies and assist with Erlanger projects and activities aligned with the Supply Chain Connected Flow initiative.

• Develop technical expertise on use of WMS, IMPACT, and Process Weaver.

• Resolve Oracle WMS issues, working with support team on corrective actions and identifying WMS enhancements.

• Identify areas of material storage optimization and warehouse layout to review with Inventory leader.

• Supports inventory audits for non-GE owned Material.

• Supports inventory KPIs and development of metrics.

• Identifies & drives problem solving

• Participates in shop improvement projects/events.

• Participates in daily and weekly operating meetings and rhythms.

• Maintain strong interpersonal relationships within union environment.

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years logistics, distribution, warehouse or manufacturing experience)
