Job summary

Axiom is seeking Employee Benefits/ERISA lawyers to work in a hybrid or remote capacity for clients across the financial services, luxury retail, food/beverage, technology, and life sciences sectors, with a primary focus on health and welfare plans.

Responsibilities include advising on design, implementation, and administration of health and welfare plans; ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, MHPAEA; drafting plan documents, SPDs, notices; and managing vendor contracts and

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of relevant legal practice in employee benefits/ERISA law.
• Strong understanding of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, MHPAEA.
• Experience with ERISA plan governance, drafting plan documents, SPDs, notices, fiduciary processes.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the design, implementation, and administration of health and welfare benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, EAP, wellness, FSAs/HSAs/HRAs).
• Counsel clients on compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, MHPAEA and related laws.
• Draft, review, and update plan documents, SPDs, SBCs, notices, and employee communications for health and welfare plans.
• Advise on plan governance and fiduciary compliance, including oversight structures and documentation.
• Handle vendor and service provider agreements for health and welfare plans, including TPAs, PBMs, stop-loss, wellness vendors, networks, consultants.
