Qualifications

• 2+ years mechanical design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely-related major.
• Statics, strength of materials, kinematics, mechanism design and manufacturing fundamentals.
• Travel 10–15% internationally to support builds.
• Strong written and verbal communication to share design ideas.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity and tech teams to define product vision.
• Explore multiple form factors and develop new product architectures.
• Define kinematic behaviors for ergonomic optimization.
• Integrate mechanisms, sensors and other electromechanical components.
• Partner with internal manufacturing and external vendors to optimize for function, cosmetics and manufacturability.
• Ensure design meets requirements through stress/tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing and failure analysis.
