Job summary

Ergon, Inc. is seeking a Terminal Operator I to join the Yellow Creek-Luka, MS facility. This full-time, team-oriented position emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in asphalt production.

You will transfer products, operate pumps and boilers, perform blending, quality tests, and routine maintenance while developing your skills alongside Operator I colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills and PC knowledge.
• Must have basic mechanical skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Safety requirements and procedures.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Perform Terminal Operator I functions proficiently.
• Transfer products between tanks.
• Operate a steam boiler.
• Align valves and operate pumps.
• Perform blending functions.
• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on machinery/equipment.
• Conduct Quality Control testing using DSR & Brookfield equipment where applicable.
• Fulfill other duties as required by Terminal Manager.

Terminal Operator I - Working with a tight-knit team to solve the everyday issues of producing high quality asphalt binder.

Our position is for a full-time Terminal Operator at our Yellow Creek-Luka, MS facility. The ideal operator would possess good organizational, time management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills. We want people who look for opportunities to learn new skills and can contribute to making our facility an even better place to work.

Our Terminal Operator I is a skilled operator who performs a variety of operational functions within the terminal and works closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills.

Terminal Operator I Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Safety requirements and procedures.
• Able to work independently (self-driven), as well as a Team Player.
• Able to perform all of the Terminal Operator I functions proficiently.
• Transfer products from between tanks.
• Operate a steam boiler.
• Able to align valves and operate pumps.
• Able to do blending functions.
• Able to perform general maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Able to perform Quality Control testing using DSR & Brookfield equipment (where applicable).
• Other duties as required by Terminal Manager.

Terminal Operator I Qualifications:

• General computer skills and PC knowledge.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Stable work history.

Terminal Operator I Physical Requirements:

• Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
• Able to work outside in varying weather conditions, varying cold, hot & humid temperatures.
• Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
