Job summary

Ergon Asphalt Partners in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Facility Operator to work outdoors in a hands-on, team-based environment testing and producing polymer modified asphalt products for paving and repair customers.

You will join a dedicated crew, load/unload trucks, perform basic maintenance, and participate in daily production and safety meetings while maintaining quality and data records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Willingness to learn computer systems and new skills.
• Proficiency in Excel preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb tanks and structures, bend, and work in physically active environments.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work scheduled hours, including weekends as needed.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory product testing.
• Input quality specifications and batch data into reports.
• Sample and monitor product quality.
• Load and unload trucks and barges.
• Perform minor maintenance on pumps, mixers, racks, and other plant equipment.
• Participate in daily production, quality, and EHS meetings.
• Use safety tools and follow company safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Complete required training and certifications.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, truck drivers, and customers.

About the Role

As a Facility Operator, you'll work alongside a dedicated team to produce neat and polymer modified asphalt products used by paving and repair customers. This is a hands-on, outdoor position where no two days are exactly alike.

This is not an office-based role - we're looking for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing directly to plan operations and customer success.

What You'll Do

• Assist with laboratory product testing
