Job description

DC Fabricators (DCF) is seeking a talented Erector to join our team. This is an on‑site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ.

At DCF, you’ll be part of a skilled team that delivers high‑quality, made‑to‑spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether you’re driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you’ll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision!

The Erector is responsible for reading and understanding assembly instructions and steel blueprints and ensuring that the required parts are present and meeting quality control standards.

Essential Duties of the Erector

• Utilize basic hand tools such as wrenches, impact guns, electric and air operated hand tools.
• Utilize and understand rolling equipment, hydro‑swage equipment, manual torque wrenches, pressure gauges, fluid systems and hydraulic equipment.
• Assemble an assortment of products using various raw materials, tools and their own hands.
• Responsible for reading and understanding work instructions and engineering specifications.
• Assembly of parts to meet drawing and other specifications.
• Must be able to paint equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
• Understand the importance of safely handling assemblies and the proper operation of overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Provides guidance and direction to the hourly personnel assigned to the department/shift, including but not limited to providing personnel training.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education / Qualifications

• High school diploma/Trade school.
• Must have at least three (3) years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• The successful candidate is eager to learn, willing to be trained, has an excellent attendance record, and is self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for the majority of the day.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
• US citizenship is required.
