Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Salem Hospital seeks a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist with advanced expertise in ERCP and GI motility to join our growing Gastroenterology team. The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care while expanding advanced endoscopy and motility services across the North Shore.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship.
• Eligible for unrestricted Massachusetts medical licensure.
• DEA certification.
• Eligible for medical staff appointment and hospital privileges.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology consultation and management.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Independently perform advanced biliary and pancreatic endoscopy, including ERCP.
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pancreaticobiliary disorders.
• Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal motility disorders, including esophageal and gastrointestinal dysmotility.
• Interpret and perform GI motility testing, including esophageal manometry, ambulatory pH and impedance testing.
• Collaborate with colorectal surgery, general surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, nutrition, speech pathology, and primary care providers.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and program development.
• Contribute to the continued growth of advanced endoscopy and GI motility services across the North Shore.
• Participate in shared call responsibilities with the gastroenterology team.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Support educational initiatives for residents, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and medical students when applicable.
