Job summary

AMPAM is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to join the ERCES design team in Poway, CA. You will prepare ERCES and DAS drawings using AutoCAD, work with project managers, and translate field markups into complete construction documents.

Ideal candidates will have strong AutoCAD skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with estimators and field personnel. ERCES training will be provided; prior ERCES or low-voltage drafting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD with ability to produce detailed construction drawings.
• Experience reading architectural, electrical, mechanical, and other trade drawings.
• Knowledge of low-voltage systems (ERCES/BDA/DAS) preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ERCES shop, permit, design, and as-built drawings in AutoCAD.
• Create ERCES floor plans, equipment layouts, and cable routing diagrams.
• Incorporate designer markups, field redlines, and project revisions into drawings.
• Coordinate ERCES drawings with architecture, electrical, mechanical, and fire alarm teams.
• Maintain AutoCAD layer standards, blocks, XREFs, and plotting standards.
• Assist with submittal packages and project documentation.
