Job summary

Ventra Health is seeking an ERA Exceptions Posting Specialist to research and refile claim payments from electronic remittance advice (ERA). The role requires accurate posting of insurance allowances, patient portions, denials, and adjustments while complying with billing standards and collaborating with a national client base.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of healthcare payments posting experience, with preference for knowledge of EOB

Responsibilities

• Processes electronic 835’s and manual payer EOBs, including posting of insurance amounts and adjustments.
• Interprets EOB remittance codes and applies correct denial codes.
• Balances and closes payment batches in a timely manner.
• Navigates payer websites to obtain EOBs.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

• The ERA Exceptions Posting Specialist is responsible for researching claim payments as explained in an Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA). These exceptions will be researched and refiled by an appropriate deadline. ERA Exceptions Posting Specialist must comply with applicable laws regarding billing standards and be able to operate in a team-oriented environment that strives to provide superior service to Ventra Health clients throughout the country.

Essential Functions And Tasks

• Processes electronic 835’s and manual payer EOBs, including the posting of insurance allowable, patient portions, denials, adjustments, contractual allowances, recoups and forward balancing.
• Interprets Explanation of Benefits (EOB) remittance codes and applies correct denial codes.
• Balances and closes payment batches timely.
• Navigate websites to obtain EOBs.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two (2) year of experience posting insurance payments in a healthcare setting.
• Two (2) years of experience reading insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements preferred.

Compensation

• Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons .
• This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentiv e bon us in accordance with company policies .
