Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Westside Animal Emergency Clinic in Lithia Springs, GA seeks a PRN Veterinary Technician to support hospital operations and deliver exceptional care to patients and clients.

Responsibilities include examining animals, assisting during surgeries, administering medications, maintaining records, and ensuring patient comfort. A CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT certification is required; ER experience is a plus. Local autonomy with national support and a culture of care are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT) and 18+ years old.
• Strong client communication skills and compassionate care.
• Proficient in triage, IV catheters, blood draws; surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements and perform exams with diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by monitoring vitals, administering meds, vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist during surgery, manage nursing care, and maintain medical records.
• Maintain sterile environment and inventory, ensure proper drug handling and documentation.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status and discharge instructions.
