Veterinary Medical Center of St. Lucie County is a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our Emergency Services team. We provide compassionate care with cutting-edge technology in a busy, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include triage, lab analyses, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia management, surgical prep and nursing care, and clear client communication. ER or Urgent Care experience is preferred; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician with 1+ year professional experience required.
• ER or urgent care experience preferred but not required for more experienced applicants.
• High work ethic and positive attitude team member.
• Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work.
• Some weekend availability.
• Exceptional customer service and clear communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Restraint of pets and triage of incoming patients.
• Collection and analysis of lab samples.
• Diagnostic imaging and anesthesia management.
• Nursing care of medical and hospitalized patients; surgical preparation and assistance.
• Communicate treatment plans with clients.
• Maintain hospital workflow and respond to emergencies.
