ER Veterinary Shift Supervisor - Night Shift

Are you a passionate and experienced veterinary professional looking to take your career to the next level? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for leading and inspiring teams? If so, EVCC wants you to join our team as an ER Veterinary Supervisor - Night Shift.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Hospital Manager, you will be responsible for nursing excellence by supervising the clinical team workflow and collaboration. The shift primarily works the night shift and will include weekends, with potential changes based on hospital needs.

Who you are:

  • 3+ years experience in a clinical Nursing/Technician role preferred
  • 2+ years experience in a leadership and/or emergency role is a plus
  • Positive, energetic, with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy teaching and coaching

What you'll do:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the clinical team
  • Supervise nurses, technicians, and assistants
  • Assist with scheduling shifts
  • Manage nursing payroll budgets in partnership with the Hospital Manager
  • Maximize utilization of downtime
  • Maintain EVCC culture & values
  • Interview & onboard new hires, with offboarding support as needed
  • Work with hospital leadership and participate in weekly leadership meetings
  • Address patient care issues & interpersonal conflicts
  • Implement EVCC Nursing Guidelines, Policies, and Projects
  • Ensure team has necessary supplies and tools
  • Bridge gaps and unify EVCC team members
  • Collaborate with Medical Director to maintain nursing standards
  • Incorporate feedback from doctors to guide the clinical team
  • Identify areas for process improvement with shift leads
  • Foster a learning environment for team development
  • Support clinical team growth and credential maintenance
  • Participate in clinical meetings & 1:1 check-ins
  • Drive performance improvements and development plans
  • Organize student internships and externships
  • Support training for new ER nurses/technicians
