Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare offers an ER Academy internship for new graduates, a 1-year emergency medicine-focused program starting June 2027. Trainees gain high-quality emergency care experience and client communication, building a foundation for a successful veterinary career.

Interns work with a senior clinician, have primary case responsibility in month one, and progress to surgical cases as they grow, in Thrive locations including Austin, TX, and other states, with a strong learning community.

Qualifications

• Candidate currently eligible to obtain a veterinary license in the United States.
• 1-year internship focused on emergency medicine.
• Mentored by a senior veterinarian with case-based learning.

Responsibilities

• Gain primary case responsibility within the first month.
• Participate in surgical cases as experience develops.
• Attend weekly didactic rounds and journal clubs.
