Oak Heart Emergency in Raleigh, NC seeks experienced veterinary professionals to join our emergency team. You will triage, assess critical cases, and provide nursing care for hospitalized patients while supporting examinations and diagnostics.

Overnight shifts are required to ensure continuous, compassionate care for our patients. Candidates should be proficient in radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and medication administration, with a commitment to teamwork and excellence in emergency

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary emergency medicine or critical care.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Care for canine and feline emergency patients.
• Triage and assess critical cases.
• Support nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Assist during examinations and procedures.
• Monitor anesthetized and critical patients.
• Perform radiography and diagnostic imaging.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Prepare IV catheter placement and surgical prep.

• Veterinary emergency medicine
• Triage and assessment of critical cases
• Nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Clinical support during examinations
• Monitoring anesthetized and critical patients
• Radiography and diagnostic imaging
• Anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring
• Laboratory procedures and diagnostics
• Medication administration (oral, IV, IM, and SQ)
• IV catheter placement and surgical preparation
