Job summary

VEG is a rapidly growing emergency veterinary hospital network in the United States. We are seeking dedicated Veterinary Assistants to join our patient-centered nursing team across multiple hospitals.

You will care for animals and their people, support diagnostic procedures, and collaborate with licensed veterinary technicians. In this role you will monitor patients, assist with anesthesia and IV therapy, perform basic nursing tasks, and participate in CPR training as a RECOVER Certified

Responsibilities

• Treat each patient and customer with compassion and care.
• Provide basic to intermediate nursing care, patient monitoring, and treatments.
• Triage incoming patients using common diseases, physical assessment, and monitoring.
• Administer medications and IV therapies under supervision.
• Collaborate with licensed veterinary technicians as part of the nursing team.
• Support outpatient and inpatient care and participate in patient rounds.
• Train for CPR as a RECOVER Certified Rescuer.
• Assist with sampling, diagnostic tests, imaging, and anesthesia under supervision.
