Job summary

Roshal Health in Texas City, TX is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for PRN shifts. You will perform ultrasound studies, including abdominal, OB, and vascular scans, in ER settings at hospital or free-standing facilities.

The role emphasizes independent work and professional bedside manner. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year post-graduate ultrasound experience, ARDMS RDMS (Ab or OB preferred), BLS/CPR, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound imaging experience post-graduation.
• Current ARDMS certification – RDMS (Ideally in Abdominal or OB).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• BLS/CPR Certification.
• Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Pass all health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screen and background check.
• Comfort level with general abdominal, general OB & vascular scans/procedures.
• Ability to use mobile phone devices & applications.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound diagnostic studies in accordance with accepted protocols.
• Maintain professional demeanor and respond promptly to all work-related calls.
• Contact the assigned facility with estimated arrival time and arrive at the facility within prescribed timeframe.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
• Maintain work areas in compliance with client’s standards.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and files, as directed.
• Document work processes, as required.
• Perform other duties.
