Healthforce in Fort Bragg, California is seeking an experienced ER travel nurse for a 13‑week assignment starting 10/12/2026. The role offers 36 guaranteed hours per week with 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) at a 25-bed critical access hospital on the coast.

The ideal candidate holds an active California RN license, a BSN is preferred, and has at least two years in ER/acute care. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE are required; TNCC is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years ER/acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
• TNCC preferred; ability to work night shifts in a hospital/ER setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient status, interpret data, and promptly escalate changes in condition to the treating team.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and family members to coordinate rapid, safe patient care.
• Develop and update care plans, participate in discharge planning, and provide patient education to patients and families.
• Support and supervise other nursing staff as assigned, maintaining a safe, healing environment.
