Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a fast-paced combined adult/pediatric emergency department requiring NY licensure and critical care certifications. The role includes night shifts and a 1:5-6 patient ratio, with travel housing and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications include active NY RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS, and ER experience; Epic charting is preferred. Very competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license required in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Minimum 1.5 years ER experience in a very busy setting.
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients.
• Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4x12 hours.
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with mixed/shared acuity levels.
• Every other weekend required.
• Float required when census warrants.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement for all RNs.
• Provide emergency care across a combined adult/pediatric population.
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead ECG.
