Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in California. The position requires a CA RN license and certifications in ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, with BLS and CPI/TEAM credentials also preferred.

This 13-week contract offers a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, opportunity to deliver coordinated acute care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with physicians and families to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.
• BLS certification required.
• CPI, TEAM, or TEAM-A certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years ER experience, recent within last 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within an acute care hospital.
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM.
• 13-week contract.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines.
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care needs.
• Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe environment.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and compassionate care.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks appropriately among healthcare team members.
