Job summary

Trinity Health-ND in Minot, ND seeks an RN in Emergency/Trauma to provide rapid assessments, administer care, and stabilize patients in life-threatening conditions. You will work with trauma teams in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires ND RN licensure or compact, BLS within orientation, and hospital experience preferred. You will document in the EHR and participate in drills and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current ND or compact RN licensure required.
• BLS certification within orientation period.
• RN program diploma/degree with official licensure.
• Hospital emergency/trauma experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and comprehensive assessments to determine patient acuity and guide immediate clinical interventions.
• Deliver emergency nursing care, including medication administration, wound management, IV therapy, and stabilization measures.
• Monitor and document changes in patient condition and communicate with trauma physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing or procedures and support safe transfers to inpatient units or higher levels of care.
• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in the electronic health record to ensure continuity and safety.
• Participate in emergency preparedness, unit-based training, and performance-improvement activities.
